The fertility program is individually tailored to ascertain why a woman may not be getting pregnant, and to determine whether the issue is with the male or female partner, or both. Dr Gunter does blood tests and sperm samples to assess reproductive health looking into endocrine function, hormonal balance and detoxification systems within the body.
Treatment includes initial detoxification, nutritional and lifestyle changes, homeopathic remedies, herbal support and acupressure/body work.
Results depend on the starting condition- for “unexplained infertility” usually there is an underlying block in the endocrine system that needs to be addressed before conception can take place.
For other issues like insufficient cervical mucus, pH issues, endometriosis, PCOS & Insulin resistance, cysts and fibroids- the condition must first be addressed in order to restore reproductive health to its usual healthy functionality, thereafter pregnancy can become a viable outcome.
Couples that Dr Gunter has worked with have fallen pregnant anywhere between 8 weeks to 24 months of treatment- depending on the condition of health both partners are in. For simple reproductive problems, pregnancy in 8 weeks to 6 months is common, even after years of failed attempts. For more serious issues like infertility in both partners, DNA fragmentation and repeated failed IVF attempts, it can take a bit longer, up to 24 months. There are many benefits to the holistic approach including improving overall health and longevity, and increasing the likelihood of a healthy natural pregnancy. Previous miscarriages are also addressed in the treatment and prevention of miscarriage can be managed. Dr Gunter also has many women between the ages of 37 and 42 who have fallen pregnant naturally after many failed rounds of IVF, by fixing the underlying issue and restoring innate balance within the body and system. These women have given birth to healthy babies.
There are cases in which IVF or ICSI are important options, this is specifically the case if there is a mechanical problem such as blocked fallopian tubes, isolated teratozoospermia or another type of implantation issue. In these cases Dr Gunter’s program is best done before the IVF, and/or alongside (complementary to assisted conception).
